Visiting other people's webpages is good for
you. I'm here to help. Finally categorized due to length. As
with all lists, this probably tells you more about me than anything I could say
directly. General KT-Related stuff KT Lowe's MySpace Page - with a blog, some basic information and all updated stuff. My blog is entered twice weekly on average (sometimes more), and replaces the Random Thoughts section that was here for years. Jef Reynolds - My buddy!!!! A helluva nice guy, excellent bass player who's backed up a number of people you've actually heard of (like me), and one of the few people on earth I trust absolutely. He doubles as my recording engineer, getting the best sound out of me as humanly possible. Even I can enjoy listening to me when he's done. The Warren Zevon Other Page - Requiescat in pace, Warenka. The Men with Long Hair Page - I LOVE men with long hair. I've never met a man who needed a hair cut. Thankfully, I've never had to date one, either. But there needs to be a more complete analysis of this issue. Are you a Christian man looking for reasons to keep his hair long (I highly recommend this site)? Interested in growing yours out? It just doesn't seem right that I can have my hair down to my waist without too many problems (except jealous comments from other women) and men get stigmatized. Merriam-Webster Online - My favorite online dictionary, with word games I usually manage to win... The Worst Poem Ever - I still think Theophilus Marzials has the worst poem on here, but I might be in the minority. Takekan's Blog - My Japanese lecture instructor posts a blog which covers Japanese customs and modern living. Very informative, not to mention entertaining. Radiskull and Devil Doll - I've been accused of an overfondness for skulls. So? I happen to like cartoons about skulls who drink too much coffee. The Little Girl Who Was Forgotten - Exceptional web-based storytelling - more at Childrin R Skary. Now stop asking me if I'm ever going to have children - the answer remains "no". Longlocks Hairsticks Boutique - A very good resource for us longhaired types, with demonstrations, haircare tips and unique handmade hairsticks. SFGate.com - the online version of the San Francisco Chronicle. I highly recommend the op-ed page, particularly the work of Mark Morford.
Music Kevin Quain - the best damn musician out of Toronto you've never heard, with possibly the cheeriest song about death I've ever purchased. He and his band, the Mad Bastards, recently celebrated ten years together. Little Steven's Underground Garage - In the Detroit area, it's on WCSX 94.7 FM on Sunday nights from 7-9 PM. Pulls out all kinds of things I've never heard before, and that can be hard to do. Race/Music: "Corrine Corrina" , Bo Chatmon and the Excluded Middle - An intellectual overview of the history of race relations and music, using the song "Corrine Corrina" as a case in point. This article highlights a certain section of black music that is now all but forgotten. George Harrison lyrics - No more searching. All of his post-Beatle work on one page, with the exception of Brainwashed, which I hope will be remedied soon. This site includes lyrics for songs that George wrote for others, including the Traveling Wilburys. The Quiet Beatle gets his due. Canadian Music Charts 1957-1986 - It's free, unlike its American equivalent. Browse the rest of the site for lyrics to one-hit wonder songs, ringtones and other crap. David Nefesh - Detroit-area singer-songwriter with strident melodies, an experienced band that know how to mug for the camera and no attitude problem whatsoever. His new CD, pureheart, is available now. John Finan - Another local musician of note, who's been supportive of me and my work as long as we've known each other. After a brief hiatus, he's making appearances again. Pandora: The Music Genome Project - A "customized jukebox" that seems to work, although typing in "Warren Zevon" turned up only Warren's work and Pansy Division.
Cats SiberianCats.com - I wanna kitty! I'm looking at these furbabies because they're rumored to be hypoallergenic, have great temperaments and have a double coat that sheds only twice a year. Plus, they're adorable... and they chortle. Hello Kitty - I never grew out of Hello Kitty. Nor do I plan to. Hello Kitty is completely innocuous, very cute and this year's product line is Asian themed! FooFoo's Cat Astrology - Get an instant reading, or look up your cat's sign. Viking Kittens - Robert Plant could only be so fortunate... more kitty videos can be seen at RatherGood.com. WARNING: If you don't like gay media, don't go here. For the Love of Cats - The Zimmer Foundation - Located in Ann Arbor, this group supports no-kill shelters for stray and unwanted cats, trapping and spaying of feral female cats to reduce feral cat populations and veterinary scholarships. The Cat Came Back - an animated film from 1987 by Canadian Cordell Barker revolving around the children's song of the same name. Politics Save Darfur - Darfur is a region in Sudan in which over 400,000 people have been massacred and another 2.5 million people have had to flee their homes. The United States Congress has cut its funding for African peace keeping by $50 million, even though they have been well aware of this genocide for the last two years. Learn for yourself, and then help if you can. RockTheVote - Political power for young people. The youth of America are the largest voting bloc in the country, yet less than half of them vote. WHY? You can't change the world if you continue to shut up. Dancing George W. - George's true ambition was to turn the Oval Office into a huge discotheque! He never intended to be President at all! And here's proof! Human Rights Campaign - America's oldest organization dedicated to promoting the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender citizens. Proud member and volunteer since 2003. MoveOn.org: Democracy in Action - The Surgeon General has determined that George W. Bush's policies are hazardous to your health. So has the Environmental Protection Agency. And so have about 50% of America's voters. Get involved! Show your opposition to George W. and spread the word. Top Ten Reasons For Marriage Equality - Denying gay people the right to marry in this country smacks of the discrimination that African Americans endured for over a century (and continue to endure - don't kid yourself for a second). God loves you, and he loves gay people, too. God Hates Shrimp - Who knew? Democrats.com - The Aggressive, Progressive Democrats. Join the Force. Get our troops out of Iraq. Stop corruption at the highest governmental level. We deserve better than what we've got, and the Republicans have proven they listen to no one but themselves.
MarieBelle Chocolates - Just had the pleasure of trying their Kona ganache. Wonderful stuff! However, they're best known for their hot chocolate. Sold at Neiman-Marcus and (very) select retailers. Gayle's Chocolates - A Michigan confection. Gayle Harte has been making chocolate since 1979 in the same Royal Oak shop. Kilwin's Chocolates - Smooth milk chocolates, great seasonal offerings (Nutcracker Sweet is better than Crunch-n-Munch) and white chocolate popcorn. A national chain. Fran's Chocolate - Before you die, you must try one of their dark grey sea salt caramels. Feodora - Hands down, my favorite dark chocolate. 60% cocoa, bourbon vanilla, rich mellow taste, luxurious sheen, crisp bite. Michel Cluizel/La Fontaine au Chocolat - One of the few international family owned retailers. I'm fond of their Amer au Grue (dark chocolate with cocoa nibs). SOMA Chocolate - A boutique chocolate from Toronto, Canada; exquisite stuff, among the finest I've ever sampled. Vosges Exotic Chocolates - Fire Bars, Barcelona Bars, Exotic caramels, Mexican drinking chocolate and combinations involving bee pollen and coconut are just a few of the delights of this chocolate maker.
Art/Writing UMMA - The University of Michigan Museum of Art. The main building, located at State Street and South University, is undergoing a much-needed remodeling project and will reopen in 2008. For the time being, visit the UMMA/Off-Site location at Forest and S. University One of a Kind San Francisco - Owned and operated by Bruce Abbott, a jovial, inventive man with a heart warmer than sunlight and a soul sweeter than the fragrance of summer flowers. His work and the work of his handpicked artists is featured in his shop in San Francisco. Aleksandr Pushkin - One of the finest writers of all time, and a personal favorite of mine. He is considered the Russian equivalent to Shakespeare. There are no good sites about him and few good translations of his work. While primarily known as a poet and the author of the celebrated epic Eugene Onegin, he was also a playwright and prose writer. He lived a life most rock stars could only imagine, and is equally relevant now as ever. The Mystery of Toshusai Sharaku - a Japanese ukiyo-e artist whose work is considered among the finest Japanese art today. But no one knows who he is... iKlimt - A graphics-intensive, very complete overview of one of my favorite artists, Gustav Klimt. Requires Flash. Aubrey Beardsley Gallery - one of the more scandalous artists of the late 19th century due to his illustrations of Oscar Wilde's Salome. His drawings seem to lack something when scanned and viewed on a computer screen - best look for print editions. OmniGlot - All About Languages! Includes both extinct and modern languages. The Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of Asian Art - Smithsonian's online site displaying their Asian art collection. National Novel Writers' Month - While National Novel Writers Month is November, the group's got other things going on throughout the year. Besides, you can plan for your novel for the other 11 months. Pythonline - the Official Webpage of Monty Python's Flying Circus. JKRowling.com - The author of the Harry Potter series has her own site, and it's a sparkling place. I happen to enjoy this site for its little secret quirks. The Woodblock Prints of Ando Hiroshige - The entire 53 Scenes of the Tokaido Road series, in multiple editions. An invaluable resource for students of Japanese woodblock art. The Gutenberg Project - Public domain downloads of entire books, a valuable tool for the preservation of world literature.

wintergreen Life Savers spark when you bite into them? Or the origin of

My brother and I are huge fans of this site, especially of Strong Bad and his dragon creation, TROGDOR the BURNiNATOR. snopes.com - The Urban Legend Debunking site. Never forward an online petition unless you read this site first. Neave Games: Pac-Man - The very best simulation of Pac-Man ever made. For PC and Mac. Contains links to Pac-Man history, the Pac-Man Museum and other useful links. Zingerman's Deli - One of the most famous delis in the United States, and the best by a long shot in Michigan. Magnificent food, worth the price, worth the time, worth sending something to me, please... The Onion - I've found pressing news items on this site that inexcusably aren't mentioned anywhere else on the Internet.
